Thank you, we did have a great holiday. We had two weeks at the Villa with our daughter and son-in-law during early July. We would all wish to thank you, your colleagues and, of course, Alberto and Giovanni for an exceptionally enjoyable holiday. Given the weather in Italy up to that point, we were extremely fortunate with the weather - 2 weeks of blue skies and temperatures in the low 30s. Too hot for sight-seeing, this was the perfect place for eating, drinking, reading and falling into the swimming pool. The villa is superbly appointed, with everything you could want to make for comfortable living and easy self-catering. It is furnished with great taste and to a very high standard, and the large airy rooms, coupled with air-conditioning, make this converted barn an outstanding holiday villa. The large garden was a delight, tended every day by two gardeners (father & son?). The pool was large, immaculately cleaned every day, and at a temperature of around 23C a pleasure for even usually reluctant swimmers. The surrounding countryside - the Mugello - is very attractive and, of course, Firenze is within easy reach.
Alberto & Giovanni were very welcoming (as was the local rep who met us) but never intrusive, and although their house and the barn are adjacent we enjoyed a holiday in complete privacy, both in house and garden. We would recommend this villa without reservation. (Though certainly not going so far as your American correspondents who suggested it was too cheap at the price!)
The organisation from your end worked out fine, no problems, though the instructions for arriving by car could perhaps be improved. We have only one suggestion for Alberto: we did not see a visitors' book where guests can enter their comments and make suggestions as to places to visit, restaurants which were good or bad, etc. We have always found such books - commonly provided - useful.
