Villa Romina was the dream of 2 sisters to create a truly Tuscan home from a ruin and they managed to realise their goal, which was to be able to share this charming villa, in its fabulous setting, with others.  After several years of hard work and planning, their dreams became reality and today they have succeeded in creating a wonderful villa full of charm and  warmth. This 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom villa is a perfect retreat for a large family group. It is located within easy reach of Pienza and set amidst the unique UNESCO protected landscapes of Val d’Orcia. Sought after items have been used in the restoration of the villa including antique oak floor boards, handmade bricks and terracotta tiles, original beams, handpainted tiles, all chosen in keeping with the local countryside that was the inspiration for their renovation. This combined with all modern amenities has created a wonderfully, comfortable holiday villa for guests to enjoy.

Pienza, a wonderful town famous for its cheese, is within easy reach (2km) and the wine towns of Montepulciano (14km) and Montalcino (22km) are a short drive away. This is a spectacular setting for a relaxing Tuscan holiday.

SLEEPS 12

Villa Romina has been lovingly restored by its owners using reclaimed and antique finds and using the skills of local crafts people to create a fabulous home. They have created a wonderfully charming holiday villa set in some of the most beautiful countryside in Tuscany.

GROUND FLOOR

• Spacious living room with a large fireplace and comfortable sofas.
  
• Romantic dining with breathtaking views over the gently rolling hills around Pienza. 
• Small kitchen convenient for making snacks. 

      CENTRAL SECTION

• Large arched glass doors create the main entrance into a large loft style room with exposed beams (6.50 mts high)
• A romantic spiral staircase by local iron craftsmen leads to the mezzanine where there is a French bed. 
• The large antique wood dining table seats 12 comfortably and is a lovely area for lunch or dinner when it is very hot outside 
• Fully equipped Tuscan kitchen with all modern amenities - 4 burner gas stove, oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave
• Access to pretty outdoor patio 6.40 mts x 3.70mts

• Charming double bedroom in warm lilac  tones with an antique iron bed with two windows facing south. The bedroom has a private bath with hydromassage tub. 
• Accessed from outdoors - Double bedroom with a canopy bed with en suite bathroom with an antique wash basin and large washing machine.

The first  floor features antique wooden floor boards

• A warm peach coloured double bedroom with an antique King size bed. This bedroom features a super spacious circular Villeroy Boch tub (170x170) with hydro massage and a private bathroom with a shower. 
• Sky blue double bedroom with en suite bath which has a double shower and double wash basins. 
• Centrally located sitting room with armchairs 
• Pretty King size bedroom with oak floor and a charming yellow-orange coloured bathroom with double shower heads. From the windows you have a spectacular view over the rolling hills, fields and small towns.
• Doors open into a charming south facing terrace from which you can enjoy the spectacular views of Monte Amiata, the magic scenery of the Val d’Orcia with shifting lights and hopefully a glass of Tuscan wine.
  

GYM/YOGA ROOM

Gym/Yoga room (100 sq mt) with private bathroom with shower located 100 mts from the farnhouse.

OUTDOORS

The villa is set in truly stunning countryside in the heart of Val d'Orcia famous for its picuture postcard Tuscan views. The pool is long and narrow (4 x 18 mts), is edged in beautiful  local stone and the garden is  planted with agapanthus, lavender and white roses. The garden is a little wild and unspoilt in sympathy with the surrounding landscape. There is a large patio for outdoor dining , areas furnished to relax and enjoy the wonderful views and the pool can be heated on request (charges apply) for the utmost in comfort. There are spectacular views over open countryside and towards the pretty town of Pienza.
