Villa Donatello is set amongst vineyards and olive groves and located in the Tuscan hills between Siena, Florence and Arezzo. It’s hill top location guarantees stunning views and tranquillity. This classic villa dates back to the end of the 18th century and is said to have been the summer residence of the Bishops from Arezzo. It was extensively renovated in 2010 and retains much of its original style, but has all modern comforts and the latest technology. 5 bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms makes it a perfect family holiday villa.
Villa Donatello is the perfect location to explore the villages, vineyards and wineries in the local area. Central Chianti is just over the hill and there are trains into Arezzo and Florence from one of the local villages. Siena (39km), Arezzo (36km), Cortona (63km) and Florence (62km) are all within easy reach and if you want a respite to sightseeing there is a spa town at Rapolano Terme with 2 natural spas, open all year, where you can relax in the hot water, enjoy the gardens or book treatments.

Local Tourist Tax: €2 per day per person over 12 years of age for the first 7 days, payable in cash on arrival.

Security Deposit: €500 payable in cash on arrival, which is held and refunded on departure

Villa Donatello is made up of a main villa and cottage. The main villa is laid out on two levels and has a lift (wheelchair accessible) for easy access to the upper floor. The upper floor is accessed by an outside staircase.

The villa is set in lovely gardens and there is a private gated pool (12.5 x 4.5mts) and sun terrace with loungers. The gardens are dotted with Cypress trees and aromatic plants. There are panoramic views that stretch into the distance towards Siena. Just along the road is a Historic medieval castle that dates back to 1167 and hamlet (250mts) and there are 2 villages locally to explore.
