Villa Daria, originally a hunting lodge, dates back to the 16th Century. Owned by various families over the centuries, including more recently the family behind a well known cosmetics empire, it was once a working estate. The owners bought the Villa in 1999 and began the process of complete renovation and modernisation. Nestled inside its own walled grounds, Villa Daria is set amongst olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees in the foothills to the north of Lucca. The nearest village is Santa Alessio and Lucca is just a 10 minute drive away. Villa Daria offers guests beautiful scenery combined with the variety and convenience of Lucca.
This superb luxury villa has been renovated as a family home and so lends itself perfectly to a family holiday. There is a children's play area within the garden and a fabulous private salt water pool as well as very large well maintained grounds. For tennis lovers there is the use of a private tennis court within the grounds.

Villa Daria  is just 1km to a local village for amenities and a short drive from Lucca (7km) with its bustlings piazzas, great shopping and unique walled city. The Tuscan coast is also within easy reach, with its many chic resorts that are wonderful for a day trip to the beach.

Included: Welcome Prosecco and canapés on arrival, fresh flowers throughout your stay, continental breakfast x 6 days per week, Utilities (gas, water, electricity), villa manager available one hour a day to arrange restaurant or beach club bookings and/or help organize outings or visits, maid service x 6 days per week, linen (changed weekly), towels (changed mid week), air con, WI FI internet, final cleaning 

Not Included: Heating - metered and payable weekly, phone, additional villa manager hours, cook service, drinks from the honesty bar, additional maid service for daily cleaning or for personal laundry/ironing, grocery shopping, cots & high chairs on request. Wedding/event fee to be agreed depending on size of group and complexity of event      

Local Tourist Tax: €4.50 per person over 14 yrs, payable in cash on arrival

Security Deposit: €3,000 payable with the rental balance and refunded within 2 weeks of departure. For a stay of more than 2 weeks a higher security deposit may be required.
