Villa Alghieri is a fabulous, luxury villa set in a 20 acre county estate in the heart of Chianti. It is located in beautiful countryside but just 900 mts from the medieval village of Panzano, in an area renowned for its wine and dotted with wineries both large and small. Vineyards dominate the scenic landscape here. The property is situated between Florence and Siena and a great central location to explore the rest of Tuscany from. The villa, originally a farmhouse, was built during the XVI and XVII century. It was renovated by the present owner in 2014 and retains many of its original features. The owner has made use of geothermal energy and solar panels to provide hot water and heating giving the property its green credentials. Villa Alghieri is close to the local village of Panzano with a lively mix of Enotecas, bars and restaurants including a famous Tuscan butcher. It is within easy reach of many main towns and cities. Florence 36km, Siena 42km, Greve in Chianti 7km.
