It is a beautiful rural villa with 2 good restaurants and tennis courts nearby and we did really enjoy our stay. A little disappointed the house was so empty when we got there no olive oil (despite being in an olive grove)no salt and not even any matches for the bbq. The pool is a great size and has fantastic views. The inside of the villa is very simple but clean and adequate for 8 people. Definitely not luxurious with very basic kitchen equipment and an old dish washer which didnt always work well. But we had a great holiday there and agree with your other customer that the Cavriglia co-op has everything you need.

Dear Sarah
Just to let you know we have been talking to reception since you left and we suggested they include a welcome food kit at the villa.
They will now be including a welcome kit starting from Sat 9 Aug/14, with a guaranteed starter supply of salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar, biscuits, milk, tea, olive oil and wine that will be in the villa on arrival.

Hi Fiona
Just to clarify the problem wasn't with sourcing groceries it was that there was literally nothing in the kitchen - no salt no matches etc. We have rented many properties over the years and have always had a few basics there when we arrive and we just thought other guests might like to be aware of this. Anyway it didn't spoil what was a lovely holiday.

Thanks for your feedback. So glad you enjoyed your holiday.
The villa offers a free first grocery shopping service. We got in touch a couple of times before your arrival to see if you wanted initial groceries, but didn't hear back from you. We then sent a special note mentioning that shops are generally closed on Sundays, but that the local Hyper market was open specially that week on the Sun after your arrival, in case you needed shopping.
It was unfortunate that we weren't able to organise some initial groceries for you to make your arrival more enjoyable.
