Podere Casamia is set in a picturesque location that hugs the slopes of the Pratomagno hills. In the past it was the home of the local mayor and then a working farm producing olive oil and wine. After that it belonged to the Antinori family and has also been a convent.  One of the original stones laid into the walls of the main building has the date of 1774 carved into it. The property has been converted to offer 6 apartments set in a large garden with pool and it enjoys fabulous panoramic views.
The location affords it some of the best sunsets, as the sun sinks slowly down behind the Chianti hills across the valley. There are lots of local villages to explore and yet it is also well situated for the Renaissance cities of Florence 46km, Siena 69kkm and Arezzo 45km, which are all within easy reach.

Podere Casamia has been renovated using traditional materials and features terracotta floors and chestnut beamed ceilings and is set in a lovely olive grove. It is within easy reach of the local village. It is the perfect haven for a relaxing holiday but for those looking for something more energetic it is a marvellous base for walking, hiking, mountain biking or exploring the surrounding countryside.
The property sits on the hillside and has stunning views over the valley below.

APARTMENT 1  (70 sq mts) - sleeps 2+1

Originally the hayloft, this apartment is in a separate building. It is on two floors
Ground floor: large dining room with a very well equipped kitchen and a stone fireplace
First floor: Double bedroom and bathroom.
Outdoor terrace with panoramic views and a garden area.

APARTMENT 2  (47 sq mts) - sleeps 2+2

An independent apartment located at ground floor, in the south-east corner of the house. It has a private terrace, porch and garden area with a wonderful views over the valley.
Indoors it has a living room with kitchen, a double bedroom, bathroom.
A sofa bed in the lounge can accommodate 1 - 2 extra guests

APARTMENT 3 (76 sq mts) - sleeps 2+2

An independent apartment located at ground floor. It has a very large living room and a separate kitchen. There is a double bedroom,  bathroom with shower. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge that can accommodate 2 extra guests

APARTMENT 4  (41 sq mts) - sleeps 2+1

An independent apartment on two levels. On the ground floor there is a living room/kitchen, on the first floor there is a double bedroom with bathroom.
In the living room there is a small bed that can be used as a sofa or to accommodate a third person. Views to the hills and the pool

APARTMENT 5  (50 sq mts) - sleeps 2+2

An independent apartment at first floor and lovely valley views. Although on the first floor it has easy access from outdoors as the property is on a slope.
Entrance is shared with apartment 6
The apartment has a short hallway which leads to the bathroom and to the living room/ kitchen. The living room has a stone fireplace and a double sofa bed that can accommodate 1 - 2 extra guests.

APARTMENT 6  (84 sq mts)- sleeps 3+3

This is the largest apartment  and it has two double bedrooms. These rooms are luxurious and very spacious and each one has a four poster bed. One or two single beds can be added to each room to make a triple or quad.
The front door of the apartment is accessed via an entrance shared with  apartment 5 and a short stairway (original 18th century). As the property is on a slope, although the apartment is on the first floor it  can also be accessed without the need to climb the stairs from outside.
The entrance hall leads to all the rooms. There is a living room,  kitchen, 2 double four poster bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub and double sink.

The property is set in large grounds including olive groves and there is a large (13 x 5mts) swimming pool. Each unit has a garden area with tables and chairs and there is a panoramic terrace for dining outdoors for larger groups.
