Casa dei Fiori is part of a tiny medieval hamlet that hugs the slopes of the Pratomagno hills. From the farmhouse you can hear distant church bells chiming and sitting at 650 mts above sea level the sunset can be spectacular as the sun sinks slowly down behind the Chianti hills across the valley. There are lots of local villages to explore and yet it is also well situated for the Renaissance cities of Florence (40 mins), Siena (50 mins) and Arezzo (30 mins), which are all within easy reach. Anyone who's looking for a relaxing holiday amongst some of the most beautiful countryside in the world will find this place a paradise. Rental: 22 March - 7 Jan, no min stay off season, weekly Sat - Sat in July & August.

Free: July & Aug - herb garden tour and tasting menu at lunch OR dinner once a week, using herbs and vegetables from the garden. Min 4 people and min stay of 1 week required . Booking required rest of year.
Starter pack provided with salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, tea, water, Extra Virgin Olive oil (own production), balsamic vinegar, toilet paper, kitchen roll, soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher detergent, tomato passata, pasta, fresh bread, jam (own production).

Prices include: In season produce from organic vegetable garden, herb garden and fruit trees (pick your own), electricity, gas, water, linen and towels/pool towels (changed weekly), wood for barbecue or open fire, WI FI internet, baby cot + high chair on request, washing machine use, use of 3 mountain bikes (booking required), small dogs accepted - cushion and bowl supplied (please inform on booking)

Not included: Final cleaning - €40, heating - €1  per hr, breakfast €12 per person, weekly BBQ (Spit Roast) 3 courses including water & wine every Sat night in high season - €38 adults, €15 per child (half portion) booking required, pizza evening (all you can eat) once a week in high season - €30 per adult, €15 per child water & wine included - booking required, Tuscan dinner using zero km produce - €40 per adult, €15 per child (half portion) includes water & wine, babysitting - €20 per hr, cookery lessons, €50 per person, maid service - €20 per hr, extra linen change €10 per set, massage €50 per hr, weddings/events - €1,500

Casa dei Fiori is part of a tiny hamlet and is made up of two stone farmhouses. One is a detached house and the other is divided into 4 apartments. There is also a tiny restored church now the reception. The property has been restored by specialist craftsmen, with attention to every detail thanks to the flair and vision of its owner. Traditional and modern styles are mixed innovatively to create a unique country style all of its own. Outside amidst the large landscaped gardens is a swimming pool, barbecue and children's play area.

Casa dei Fiori is just a few kilometres from the village of Castel Franco di Sopra and also Loro Ciuffenna a medieval village that straddles a gorge. It is the perfect haven for a relaxing holiday but for those looking for something more energetic it is a marvellous base for walking, hiking, mountain biking or exploring the picture postcard countryside.


The tiny village church has been restored using traditional materials and has been decorated using paint effects and motifs to create a beautifully welcoming reception, which sells local wines and products grown and produced on the property. This tiny hamlet sits high up on the hillside and has stunning views over the valley below.



APARTMENT DESCRIPTION

SLEEPS 2

Edera is on the ground and first floor of the house with an entrance to the back up a small set of stairs. It has a kitchen with hob, oven and fridge. A spiral staircase leads up from the kitchen to the double bedroom with en suite shower room.


The pool area is located at a short distance from the house. It is a large infinity pool (shared with 4 other apartments) with a covered loggia area for shade and has stunning views.
