Borgo Vallombrosa is a superb luxury property, located right in the heart of Tuscany and nestling in the hills above Arezzo. It has 13 individually styled lury room & suites annd with luxury bathrooms and Bio toiletries. The restoration project and philosphy of this wonderul property has been based on sustainability and they strive to contine this daily whether its the energy producing solar panels or growing their own produce in the Organic kitchen garden, to sourcing other items locally.
Borgo Vallombrosa has been handcrafted by local artisnas using natural materials including stone and wood. It features unique piece of interior design and highlights natural fabrics such as line and hemp all brought together to create fabulous eclectic interiors. It is located just 7km to Arezzo which is a wonderful characterful town with a historic old town at the top of the hill that includes a medieval piaza. It has lovely alleyways , impressive cathedral, monthly antique market to explore around the old town and weekly market selling a multitude of items as well as food products and fresh fruit & veg.
If you are a chocoholic you have to check out the artisan chocolate maker in town producing out of this world chocolate from their own Carribean cocoa plantations.

Borgo Vallombrosa is set in a beautiful country location. Just a few minutes’ drive from the property is the historic city of Arezzo, one of Tuscany’s undiscovered jewels. Although not as well known as its nearby neighbours Florence and Siena, Arezzo is rich in history and art, having been home to many famous personalities.

Its favourable position is also one of its best features. In one hour or less, you can reach many of Tuscany’s most important cities and towns, such as Florence, Siena, Cortona, Pienza and Montepulciano.

The sleek, contemporary design of the Borgo merges flawlessly with its exposed wood-beams, its arched ceilings and its stunning brickwork. The décor, composed of a variety of custom designed and traditional objects handpicked all over Europe, gives the property a sense of casual elegance and refined mystery.

RESTAURANT

The aim of the Borgo Vallombrosa restaurant is for our guests to be constantly surprised by the variety of flavours and scents that come out of our kitchen and amazed by what can be created with just the right combination of elements. At the heart of all our dishes are the freshest local ingredients, many of them grown directly in our own vegetable garden and selected personally by our Executive chef. The restaurant seats max 35.

TERRACE

Nestled against the side of the villa and cradled lovingly by beautiful gardens, the Terrace is the perfect spot for those who wish to be surrounded by nature every moment of the day. The dazzling view of the nearby forests and the Chianti hills provides the perfect background for a relaxing lunch or delicious dinner.

WINE CELLAR

Our sommelier has carefully selected wines that represent Italy, with particular emphasis on Tuscany. This selection of organic, biodynamic and natural wines, together with our dishes, will take you on an extraordinary gastronomic journey through the history of Tuscan cuisine and turn the simple act of eating into an immersive and vivid experience.

BAR

Underneath the glass ceiling of the Bar, guests can gather to relax and share an aperitif with their family and friends. Everything in the bar was designed with comfort in mind. The soft jute and linen used for the sofas and armchairs are a reminder of Tuscany’s agricultural heritage and the suffused lights create a warm, tranquil atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and relax after a day spent exploring Tuscany.

SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability is really important to the philosopy behind this wonderful property. Here are some of the measures eomployed in order to limit their carbon footprint and  be more susutainable.

• Not only do they recyle dialy, but they also implemented recyling in the retoartion of the building - reusing any/all material possible. They have used natural materials including stone, wood, linen & hemp and local craftspeople helped in the restoration work.
